Art in the Park: Nature + Creativity Afterschool

A hands-on afterschool adventure where kids explore local trails, learn about plants, animals, and geology, and create a new nature-inspired artwork to take home every day.

Tuesdays & Thursdays • Sept 9 – Oct 16 • 4–6 PM · Rock Springs Nature Preserve

🎒 Daily Take‑Home Art

Cyanotypes, leaf prints, rock art, bird feeders, and more—one finished project every day.

🧭 Guided Nature Time

Trail walks with naturalists to learn local plants, animals, geology, and seasonal changes.

🌿 Snack & Play

Healthy snacks included plus playground time to unwind, connect, and make friends.

Daily Flow

4:00–4:30 PM: Check‑in & playground
4:30–5:30 PM: Trail exploration + creative craft
5:30–6:00 PM: Snack, playground & pick‑up

What to Know

Location: Rock Springs Nature Preserve (Pavilion check-in).
Who: Designed for school‑age students; mixed‑age friendly with group support.
Price: $25 per session. ESA+ scholarships accepted.
Included: All materials, healthy snack, and daily take‑home project.
Bring: Water bottle, closed‑toe shoes, weather‑ready layers, sunscreen/bug spray.
Weather plan: Light rain = pavilion crafts. Severe weather = shelter/make‑up plan.
Safety: Background‑checked staff; First aid kit on site; Leave No Trace taught.
Tutoring: Available via Hawk Feather Academy with ESA+ billing.
